Minister of Women and Child Welfare, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, announced that payments for June under the Gruhlakshmi Yojana will be made in the next two days. Speaking in Bellary, she clarified that rumors about delays in payments for the past two to three months are false, as funds were transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) until May 5. She assured that the DBT for June is ready, and the money will be deposited soon. Additionally, she denied allegations that funds meant for SC/ST communities were being used for Congress guarantee schemes.
